Mostly Mutts Shelter and Adoption Center is Closed Until Further Notice

In an effort to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus and limit the exposure to our volunteers and staff, our shelter is closed. Pets in our care have been moved into foster homes.

Adoption Info:

Adoptions are being arranged by appointment only. Please submit an application if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing is taking longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Foster Info:

A huge thank you to those interesting in fostering. We have received many applications and can't express our appreciation. Our foster coordinator is working to respond as quickly as possible. Because of Dept. of Agriculture regulations, we are unable to place pets in a new foster home until a home visit has been completed. Due to the virus, we can't complete these visits at this time. We are processing foster applications pending the home visit to prepare for when the quarantine is lifted. Animal controls are counting on us to help them as soon as we are able, so please don't let the delay discourage you from future fostering. The urgency will be greater than ever.

New Volunteer Info:

We are excited that so many people are interested in volunteering to care for our pets. The first step is to put in an application and then attend an in-person orientation and training. If you submit an application while we are closed, we will follow up with an email when new orientations are scheduled. As with fostering, animal controls are counting on us to help them as soon as we are able, so please don't let the delay discourage you from future volunteering.  The more volunteers we have to help; the more pets we can bring into our care.

Community Service Program:

Because our shelter is closed, the program is currently on hold. We are still accepting applications, and as soon as the quarantine is lifted, our volunteer manager will send an email with instructions to sign up for shifts.

Thank you for your patience and support!

Current Volunteers: please check our internal groups for more information.
