Hi, my name is Steamboat Willie! I was born into the Mostly Mutts program and adopted as a pup. Sadly, there were several changes in my family's situation, so I lost my home and then I lost my 2nd home due to not getting along with the other dominant dog in the home as we both had dominant personalities, so everyone thought it was best to help me find a home without another dominant dog. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I play very well with other dogs and in fact, love to play with other dogs as long as they don’t have a dominant nature. I am a dominant male and should not live with other dominant dogs. / My former owner reported that I got along with cats, so if you have a kitty at home, let’s meet! / My former owner also reported that I liked kids, though Mostly Mutts thinks kids 15+ years old would be best due to my dominant behaviors and of course, let's meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am playful, energetic, and looking for a strong leader to help me continue with my training and my canine manners. I see myself as a protector of my person and am not a fan of strangers approaching. As long as I can approach them, then I have been fine, but people should not approach me. I give lots of warnings to let you know that I am uncomfortable - so you can remove me from the situation quickly. Also, I’ve been very easily redirected, and my trainer will give you tools to help with my continued training. A very dog savvy owner that will maintain the rules that work for me is a must! / My energy level is approx. 6-8 so I’ll want regular exercise.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping on them as long as I can approach them. I am also continuing my boundary/leadership training, so please ask my trainer about this. / My crate manners were good in my former home, and they are good in the prison/foster program too. / I had good potty manners in my former home, and they are good in the prison/foster program too.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I am exuberant and love to play - I am not rude about it, but I do have a lot of young dog energy, so be ready for my enthusiasm. I enjoy playing with toys and I liked running around in the fenced yard with my former family. I like a good leader and in my former home, I liked the male better than the female. / See above for my dislikes please. I also would not be happy if I did not get the love, exercise, training, and attention all doggies deserve!

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.
