A FRIENDLY, YOUNG GUY: 1 year old / 36 lbs.

Hi! I’m Macallister! Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am most grateful! I have quickly become a favorite at the shelter with my friendly nature. I hope to meet my new family soon!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I haven’t officially met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, but I have responded positively to the ones I’ve seen and seem to want to play with them. I also came in with a sibling and we got along well. So – if you have a nice doggie, let’s meet. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a playful and super sweet guy with a sweet, gentle demeanor. The volunteers call me ‘a great dog x 2’ – how about that? Initially I was a little hesitant when being petted, so I may not have been treated the best in the past, as sometimes I responded as if I am going to be hit. But now that I’ve met so many wonderful people at Mostly Mutts I’m enjoying all the love and attention I’m getting. / My energy level is 4-6.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am now a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. Thus far, I have mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’ and ‘stay’ commands. Check back soon to see what else I have learned. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule. Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like to play with my people and enjoy all the toys they introduce me to. I do well on my leash, so I know I would enjoy lots of walks or even some hikes. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.
