A FUN AND ACTIVE PUPPY: 3 – 4 months old / Currently 23 lbs. and growing

Hi, my name is Davey! I had a home, but we lived in an apartment, and my owner felt that was just too small a place for an active pup like me, so Mostly Mutts is helping me find the home that is perfect for me!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I absolutely LOVE the other dogs in my foster home. We spend lots of time playing and wrestling, so if you have a nice dog looking for a playmate, let’s meet as this would make me so happy to have a doggie playmate / I haven’t met kitties yet, but I’m very young so I’d likely do well with them if they like puppies / I haven’t met kids in my foster home, though my previous owner reported that I was good with children. I’d likely enjoy them as long as they are good with active and enthusiastic pup, best no toddlers, as I can be a bit mouthy when I play, and I may accidently bump them over. Let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a very sweet, active and playful pup. A friendly fellow who doesn’t meet a stranger - I may give an initial bark with someone new, but quickly switch to your tail wagging friend looking for love or a playmate. I am smart and treat motivated, so I have a reputation of learning quickly / My energy level is 8-10, so I need a family who plans on being active with me, so we’ll all be happy!

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. My previous owner reported that I knew the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’ and I gave my paw, so I bet you can reinforce these commands and teach me even more / I wasn’t crazy about the crate in my foster home the first night, but they have started luring me into it with a treat. Now, I walk right into it, lay down and sleep through the night. I would likely prefer sleeping with my person, if allowed / My potty manners are a work-in-progress. I give a signal that I need to go out by going to the door, but if you are not quick, I may have an accident. I also am known to piddle when I get excited, so please continue to be consistent with me so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like to stay busy – with toys, other doggies, or with my people. Puzzle toys where I hunt for treats are my favorite. I love to play then snuggle with my people when I am all tuckered out / I dislike the vacuum cleaner or broom and am not a real fan of car rides, though these are all trainable things. Also, I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention and training.

• MEDICAL: I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. I’m also micro-chipped and neutered.
