River

  • Breed(s): Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler)
  • Gender: M
  • Age: Baby
  • Size: M
HANDSOME BOY: 6 mos old, currently 30 lbs. I'm beautiful and my body rarely stops wiggling. I'm a happy dog most of the time but I do get nervous when I don't know what you want from me so just take it slow and teach me and I'll catch on quickly. I kennel very well and I play well with other dogs. I could be considered a little 'dominant' with my toys (with other dogs) but with a little supervision and a few 'rules', I can be easily managed. I need an owner who will be kind, active and maybe we can take a dog training class together. I love to learn but I want to learn with positive reinforcement and no other way. Because of my breed, high energy and an active mind, I'll be a great dog for the right owner. No young children, 10+ years.

Pearl

  • Breed(s): Border Collie, German Shepherd Dog
  • Gender: F
  • Age: Young
  • Size: M
SWEET, LOVING & CALM: 2 yrs old, 34 lbs. Everyone who meets me loves me immediately. I have a very sweet personality and I'm loving and calm. I love people. I do very well at the shelter but once in a while I get a little mouthy with some of the other dogs. It's all in play but Border Collies sometimes don't know that mouthing another dog is not much fun for some. I kennel very well and am quiet. You will have a great family dog if you adopt me.

Sage

  • Breed(s): Wirehaired Terrier
  • Gender: F
  • Age: Young
  • Size: M
CUTE & FUN LITTLE GIRL: less than 2 yrs old, 24 lbs. I am an awesome little girl and I will be a great family pet. I am independent, love to chew on stuffed animals, so please have lots for me, and I love to play tug-o-war. I would be fine as an only dog IF I get lots of exercise or a companion dog to a family with another dog. I do love to play, chasing the ball and taking my toys outside, one at a time. I am good with cats and am good on a leash. I would love to be in a home where I would not be left alone all day.

GENTLE, SWEET GIRL: 2 yrs old, 42 lbs. My foster says I am a very laid back dog and am very gentle. One of my favorite things to do is to be with people, and I will happily spend a day following you from room to room, or catching a snooze with you on the sofa, next to you. I am a super sweet girl. I do like to play with other dogs and am fine with cats. I will make a great family pet. I am being spayed on Jan. 31st so will not be available until Feb. 4th however MM is taking apps on me now.

Sassy

  • Breed(s): Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler)
  • Gender: F
  • Age: Young
  • Size: M
HAPPY, SWEET DOG: 1yr old, 47 lbs. As you can see from my pics I am always smiling. I'm a happy, happy, sweet girl looking for a good time. Sometimes I get overwhelmed at PetSmart, because it can be chaotic, however overall I am good with other dogs. I love people, and can be with kids too. I have a rather high energy level so exercise is key for my health and happiness and I do very well outside in a fenced yard. I would love to have a doggy playmate because I think it's fun to play, play, play. I do like to bark at times, but I am easily corrected with a verbal correction and it's very manageable. My bark is only from excitement and I'm telling you "LET'S GO...IT'S TIME TO HAVE FUN!". I'm a great dog and will be a great pet for any family.

Maurice

  • Breed(s): Shih Tzu
  • Gender: M
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: S
SWEET LITTLE MAN: 10+ yrs, 15 lbs. My life is just beginning now and I'm discovering new things every day, like what it means to be loved. I lived my whole life in a puppy mill and not only did I not get affection, but I received minimal health care. Now my tongue sticks out all of the time because my teeth are all broken from chewing on metal cages. The vet has run tests on me and I won't be able to get my teeth fixed or get neutered because of a heart murmur. I'm not showing any symptoms though, so I will just need to be on a very inexpensive medication to keep it under control. Now that I'm in a foster home, I'm slowly learning that not all people are bad. I really enjoy the other dogs in the house, so MUST have another dog in the home, but I am still learning to trust people. Each day I get a little closer to my foster mom and I even sat on her feet during a thunderstorm recently. She's been very patient with me and we take baby steps every day. I'm hoping there is someone out there who would like to provide me with a loving home and use endless patience to gain my trust, build my confidence and work on making me happy.

Kano

  • Breed(s): Pit Bull Terrier, Labrador Retriever
  • Gender: M
  • Age: Young
  • Size: L
BEAUTIFUL & LOVING: 1 yr old, currently 55 lbs. I am a very active boy who loves to run and play and I'm also very smart and obedient. I was rescued from being tethered on a chain with no food, water nor shelter and was starving when I was rescued. I love people and I LOVE to snuggle. Being a puppy I need things to chew on and can get a bit mouthy however a firm "no" will stop me from doing that. I am fine with other dogs however cannot be fed around them because I am food aggressive to them, because I was starving. Don't misunderstand, I am NOT aggressive around people with food nor in any other way. I get along fine with the four dogs in my foster home and I love to play in the fenced in yard with them. I am great on a leash, am an excellent car rider and I kennel well. I have not been out in public too much, other than going on car rides, so need to be socialized slowly around other dogs and people because I am in initially afraid of them. I am completely house trained and can run loose in the house as long as I am supervised (because of my chewing). I would probably do best in a home as an only dog as long as long as I get LOTS of exercise and attention. My foster says I am absolutely beautiful and so loving and I will make a great companion to a lucky individual or family. Please give me a chance to show you how much love I have. Because of my puppy energy I should probably not be in a home with small children. Whoever adopts me should be an experienced dog owner because the APB breed needs to have a strong pack leader. I am fully vetted. This is a courtesy posting. Mostly Mutts has no first hand knowledge of this dog and explicitly disclaims any liability for any situation arising from the private adoption of this individual dog. If you are interested in adopting this dog contact Mostly Mutts 770-325-7387. An application as well as a donation of $50 to MM are required to adopt this dog.

Elsie

  • Breed(s): Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull Terrier
  • Gender: F
  • Age: Baby
  • Size: M
SWEET GIRL: 11 mos old, currently 40 lbs. Look at this cute face!! If you love people as much as I love people, we'll get along GREAT. I also love treats and I love to play with a tennis ball. Look at my pretty brindle coloring. I've been at the shelter for several months and I'm finally healthy, after having a case of mange as well as another illness, and can now search for my new family. I would enjoy walks and because of my breed mix, MM may require us to take a training class together. I think it would be fun and a great bonding experience plus I am very smart and love to learn. I can be with other dogs but I prefer to be alpha and set the rules. I don't do well with dogs that jump all over me...it's very annoying. My kennel is a very relaxing place for me and I do keep it very clean. I'll make a fantastic companion. May be best no toddlers.

Paisley

  • Breed(s): German Shepherd Dog, Yellow Labrador Retriever
  • Gender: F
  • Age: Young
  • Size: M
SWEET, GENTLE, ATHLETIC: 3 yrs old, 40 lbs. You will love me from the minute you meet me. I'm pretty, sweet, gentle and such a good girl. I do really well in a fenced yard however if you leave me unattended I may jump or scale the fence to be with you, even a wooden 6' fence. I have always wanted to be a performer and now that Mostly Mutts has seen my talents, I have a good chance to live out my dream. Tennis balls keep me happy, I'll play fetch all day and I'd make a great competitive or agility dog. The very first day I was assessed, I was catching Frisbees at a full run. I love to jump so that helps me to get air born (but may not be good for toddlers). Please don't adopt me because I am pretty, and make me sit at home all day. My biggest fear is that my new family will not be as active and I'll be bored. That would make me miserable. I love other dogs, I love people but I really love sports...you can see the smile on my face when I am at full tilt. I'm a phenomenal athlete and want to be adopted by someone, or a family, who is active and fun.

Fozzie Bear

  • Breed(s): German Shepherd Dog, Black Labrador Retriever
  • Gender: M
  • Age: Young
  • Size: M
FUN DOG: 1 yr old, 45 lbs. My foster family says if you are not looking to adopt me you are really missing out on a great dog!! I am a sweet, obedient and energetic dog who is looking for an active family to please and to love. Some of my favorite things to do are to run in a fenced in yard, chase my foster's dogs, play tug-o-war with rope toys, chase the ball and just lay in your lap and share a good movie together. And if that isn't enough, I am so well behaved and smart and have learned sit and lie down. I don't bark much unless sometimes I get excited playing with my friends. I am excellent on the leash and a great car rider, which I love to do except to the veterinarian's. I get very nervous and snappy so maybe a few trips to the vet's for 'meet and greet' only would help. Also don't like to be restrained around my neck as this scares me as well. I get along great with the other four dogs in the family and although I want to get close to the cat, he will have no part of that. I am completely potty trained, so can be left unattended in the home, without a crate, when you need to go out. I have never chewed on anything other than my designated toys. My foster family says they hope I find a home where my new family will appreciate my true greatness and love. Another dog in the family would be great where we could play in a fenced in yard for a good part of the day. Maybe best no toddlers.
