HALLOWEEN CANDY THEME: 9 months old / Currently 14 lbs. I'm a playful young low rider of a puppy! At only 9 months old, I'm the perfect age to start training me just the way you would like me to be as an adult dog. I'm also a great compact size to travel around town with. I can see myself going for walks with you and perhaps little hikes to stay in shape, maybe even the dog park to play. I haven't' had a chance to play with other dogs yet, but with a proper introduction, I think I'll enjoy playing with them. I love to carry around and play with toys and I also like all of the volunteers that come to visit and walk me! I like kids too, and enjoy playing with a nice girl that visits the shelter, we run around together and have fun. My one challenge is the crate! I really don't like being in one and will make a fuss barking and scratching to get out. At the shelter I'm in a travel kennel now and that's a little safer for me. I think I'd do better in a home with regular exercise and attention, and perhaps a gated area would work better for me. A house rather than an apartment will be best. I hope you and I can work that one thing out and have loads of fun together! Energy level: 5 - 7. I'm current on vaccinations, neutered and my adoption fee is $175.00. Best no toddlers as I'm small and active. You can meet me Saturdays from 11:30 - 4pm at the Barrett Parkway PetSmart.

Sancho

  • Breed(s): Chihuahua
  • Gender: M
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: S
I'M LOOKING FOR AN ANGEL: 10 years old / 6 lbs. I'm a special needs little dog, not for health reasons but for behavioral challenges. I am missing all of my teeth, so my tongue hangs out the side of my mouth a lot, but I can eat hard food mixed with soft food just fine. I'm a hard one to figure out, friendly at times and snarling and biting at other times, thank goodness I don't have teeth! I like to curl up in warm beds and be left alone a good bit of the time, but it may be because the shelter is just too crazy for me. I'm looking for a special person or family that's up for the challenge of figuring me out and helping me enjoy my senior years, showing me that there are nice people in the world and that I can be happy again. It could be that I'm grieving the loss of my former person and routine, we're just not sure why I act like I do. I seem to like some of the dogs at the shelter, but not all of them. I have good potty habits with minimal accidents at the shelter and I like going out for little walks. No kids or much older & very patient teens only because of my behavior. Energy level: 2 - 4. My adoption fee has been waived and a minimum $50.00 donation is required for me and a loving forever home. I don't come to Petsmart adoptions, but you can meet me during the week, just contact mostly mutts at adopt@mostlymutts.com or 770-314-8974 for more information.

Koda

  • Breed(s): Chocolate Labrador Retriever, Shepherd
  • Gender: M
  • Age: Young
  • Size: M
A REAL PEOPLE LOVER: 1 - 2 years old / 45 lbs. Koda is a wonderful mixed breed of most likely Chocolate Lab, Shepherd, and Husky. He's very sweet and absolutely loves people! He gets along great with other dogs and is indifferent when it comes to cats. He loves going on walks, playing with other dogs, chewing on bones, and cuddling on the couch. He already knows 'sit', 'down', and 'shake', but just needs a little more training to really reinforce the commands. Koda is housebroken and does very well inside. He loves people so much that he gets a little upset when left alone in a crate, so he would probably not do well crated during the day. He was originally found as a stray, covered with fleas, wearing an embedded collar, and taken to Animal Control. He was adopted in August 2014 and has since been bounced around to two different households through no fault of his own. He is fully vetted, heartworm negative, and current on HW prevention. Koda is a wonderful dog with a sweet & playful personality. He's been through quite a lot these last few months and needs someone who can give him the time and love he deserves. This is a courtesy posting. Mostly Mutts has no first-hand knowledge of Koda and explicitly disclaims any liability for any situation arising from this private adoption. Please contact Laura Roberts at lauraroberts75@gmail.com for more information about Koda. His adoption fee is $175.00 and he does not come to Mostly Mutt adoptions.

Jessica

  • Breed(s): Labrador Retriever, Chow Chow
  • Gender: F
  • Age: Young
  • Size: M
LOVING AND FUN: 2 years old / 41 lbs. I'm a nice young dog that really enjoys going for walks, playing and love of all kinds. I get to visit with all of the shelter volunteer and even a few kids that come in with their parents. I'm friendly, loving and fun. I've been good with the other dogs I've met while going for walks and think I'd like to play with them, but I haven't had the chance yet. I know 'sit' and seem to be smart, so you can teach me even more. I also seem to have good potty manners as I don't go in the shelter and I keep my crate clean. The crate isn't my favorite place as I'd rather be with you, so I do talk a bit when I'm in it and probably shouldn't be an apartment doggie. Come and meet me, I'm a compact ball of love! Best no toddlers that I may accidentally bump over. Energy level: 4 - 6. I'm current on vaccinations, spayed and my adoption fee is 175.00. You can meet me Saturdays from 11:30 - 4pm at the Barrett Parkway PetSmart.

Jake

  • Breed(s): Terrier, Chihuahua
  • Gender: M
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: S
BLUES BROTHERS THEMED DOG: 5 years old / Approx. 9 lbs. I'm a darling and friendly little guy that's been through a lot lately. I was found as a lost or abandoned dog with my friend Elwood, who may actually be my son as he's only about 10 months old and looks like the bigger version of me (he'll be available very soon). Then the nice person who found us couldn't keep us or find our home after looking for weeks so after contacting animal control we became available for adoption. Here I am at the Mostly Mutts shelter trying to figure out what's going on now, but at least I'm enjoying the love I get from the volunteers. Needless to say, I'm looking for some love and stability! I'm new to leash training and picking it up pretty fast, and I'm working on my potty training now. I'm quiet in my kennel while I patiently wait for a new family to love. Elwood and I don't have to be adopted together, but if you're looking for 2 look a likes, ask about my buddy Elwood who needs a quiet home. Older children please as I'm small. Energy level: 4 - 6. I'm current on vaccinations, neutered and my adoption fee is $175.00. You can meet me Saturdays from 11:30 - 4pm at the Barrett Parkway PetSmart.

Licorice

  • Breed(s): Spaniel
  • Gender: M
  • Age: Young
  • Size: M
HALLOWEEN CANDY THEME: 1 year old / 25 lbs. I'm Licorice, a very happy and friendly boy. I like all of the volunteers that come to visit and take me for walks. I seem friendly with other dogs and although I haven't been tested with kids yet, I think I'll like them too! I keep my crate clean at the shelter and it only took me a few days to get used to being crated as it seemed to be new to me. In a new home I may need to adjust again. Since I keep my crate clean, hopefully that will translate to good potty manners in a home, but we don't know for sure yet. I have beautiful coloring with strands of brown and some white mixed with my shiny black coat. I'm ready for the fun and the love that a family has to offer and I'll gladly return it to you as well! Best not toddlers since I haven't been child tested yet. Energy level: 5 - 7. I'm current on vaccinations, neutered and my adoption fee is $175.00. You can meet me Saturdays from 11:30 - 4pm at the Barrett Parkway PetSmart.

Bobby

  • Breed(s): Labrador Retriever, Pointer
  • Gender: M
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: L
DALLAS THEMED DOG: 6 years old / 56 lbs. I'm a very sweet and soulful dog that will bond deeply with my family. I love to snuggle, am super handsome and will be very loyal! I have good potty manners in my foster home, like going for walks and car rides and I'll sit on the seat next to you like a person. I'm a calm boy who would do best in a peaceful home with gentle children and adults. Kisses on my forehead and sleeping with a nice big pillow are my favorite! If you want a buddy to watch TV with or curl up with a book next to, I'm your guy. I'm looking for a person or family that's home most of the time as I crave companionship and am very sad when you leave. A house instead of an apartment would be best for me so my possible crying doesn't disturb anyone. I do well with other calm and secure dogs and one in the home may help me while you're away, but I've never been interested in playing with them. Crating me while you're away is important so I don't try to come looking for you. It only took a few days with initial supervision to get used to the 2 kitties in my foster home and now we're fine together, I even share my open door crate with them when they come to rest near me. I've completed my heart worm treatment and will be tested in 6 months; Mostly Mutts will cover that expense with one of their vets. I'm current on vaccinations, neutered and my adoption fee is $175.00. Energy level: 4 - 6.

Pearl

  • Breed(s): Domestic Short Hair
  • Gender: F
  • Age: Young
  • Size: S
MOMMA TO THE "D" KITTENS: 1 year old / 7 lbs. I came to Mostly Mutts with my 3 kittens, the "D" kittens and I'm barely an adult myself. Now we're all ready to find loving homes! I've really gotten comfortable with the 2 big dogs and 3 adult cats at my foster home. I love it when we chase each other. I do play a little rough sometimes, so watch me with little children. Also check your dishwasher and dryer before you start them. I am very interested in everything and so can get closed in closets and rooms. I am a soft mower and will wait patiently for you to let me out. I love to sleep with my foster cats in the sun or snuggle with my foster mom and play on her keyboard. I have even sent several emails for her before they were complete, silly me! I will likely take a little time to adjust to a new home, but be patient with me and soon you'll see what a love I am. I'm spayed, current on shots, combo tested negative, wonderfully clean and a soft meower. I'm also very small, only 7 pounds and barely a year old. Could I be the one for you? Calm and gentle children please as I will do best in a quieter type home. My adoption fee is $125.00 and you can meet me Saturdays from 11:30 - 4pm at the Barrett Parkway PetSmart.

Eve

  • Breed(s): Terrier
  • Gender: F
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: M
CALM / EASYGOING GIRL: 7 years old / 55 lbs. I was a homeless dog most of my life so I'm really loving living in a home with a nice foster family! I settled in very quickly with the other calm dogs and kind people. For now, I don't play with the other dogs, although I'm quite interested and do enjoy hanging out and going for walks as a pack or on my own with my person. Walking on a leash was relatively new to me, but I'm doing great although traffic noise can be a little scary, so my foster mom keeps a good grip on the leash and I wear a martingale collar so I don't slip away. If we walk on a nice quiet street, I really enjoy it and trot along nicely. I greet my people with a big tail wag and kisses when they come home and they can tell I'm very happy to see them. I will now come when asked and treats are very helpful in building my trust. Yummy! I am friendly and so sweet, just a bit shy, but I enjoy scratches, give lots of gentle kisses and am making great progress! You can probably tell from my description that I'll do best and blossom in a calm and quieter type home so if you have children please consider their energy level. I have so much potential and am a dog that truly needs "rescuing". I like to retire to my crate with the door open at times but am spending more and more time with the family. My potty habits are very good on the schedule my foster family has and they feed me separately since I'm more comfortable that way. I'm a quiet dog that doesn't ask for much but you'll be rewarded in the growth and trust you'll see in me. Energy level: 3 - 5. Adoption fee $175.00. Meet me Saturdays at the Barrett Parkway PetSmart.

Taylor

  • Breed(s): Australian Shepherd
  • Gender: F
  • Age: Young
  • Size: M
BEAUTIFUL & SWEET SURVIVOR: 1 year old / 38 lbs. I'm a wonderful young dog that's been through a lot in my short life, so I'm ready to find my forever home and never be homeless again! I was found by animal control, lost and injured and I was so sweet that they helped me get well enough for surgery and then removed my leg that couldn't be saved! I've been recovering at the Mostly Mutts shelter and everyone I've met has fallen for me. They say that I'm an awesome dog that's quiet in my crate, seems to be house trained and is laid back although that may change now that I'm healing and feeling good again. I'm also friendly with other dogs but haven't been allowed to play with any yet. I met a younger child at the shelter and was good with her although it may be best that there aren't toddlers in my new home since I may not have the best balance yet. Energy level: Currently 4-6. I'm current on vaccinations, spayed and my adoption fee is $175.00. You can meet me Saturdays from 11:30 - 4pm at the Barrett Parkway PetSmart.
